Fundraising
In order to offer a quality Christian education at the lowest possible cost, Salem Christian School must rely upon the generosity of God's people to meet the physical and financial needs of the school. Since Salem Christian School is a non-profit 501c3 organization, gifts to the school are tax deductible. There are a number of ways you can help!!

Class Sponsors-As an individual or business, you can sponsor a grade level. For every "A" the children in that grade level received in a grading period, you donate $10 to the school. At the end of each grading period, Class Sponsors will receive a report card on your class.

Philippians Givers-Salem Christian needs individuals and companies who believe in a Christian education who are willing to support Salem Christian through financial gifts. It is our goal to raise over $40,000 through financial donations this year. All donors will receive an end of the year statement with the total amount given, to be used as a tax deduction.

Campbell's Soup Labels-Saving the coupons off the back of Campbell's Soup cans and other Campbell's products helps our school. Campbell's allows schools to exchange these labels for educational and sports equipment. The labels can been turned in through a student or placed in the Campbell's receptacle. Please note that we are no longer able to collect the full label. Click here to see exactly what to save.

Box Tops for Education-General Mills supports education through Box Tops for Education. On the top of each General Mills product is a label marked "Box Tops for Education." These labels can be saved and sent to the school so that we can redeem them for cash. Click here for more info and contests.

Newspapers, Magazines, Catalogs & White paper-Southeast Paper recycles old newspapers, white paper, magazines and catalogs. The old papers should be placed in the red bin near the playground. SCS receives cash for your recycled paper. We have been contest winners the last several years!
    Acceptable Items include:
  • white printer/copier paper
  • white tablet paper
  • white computer paper
  • white envelopes (without the plastic windows)
  • white paper with colored ink
  • white cardstock paper
  • newspaper
  • magazines
  • catalogs
  • **Staple do NOT have to be removed.

Food Lion-Food Lion supports education through Food Lion Shop and Share. Simply pick up a Food Lion MVP card and register with Food Lion through mail or through the Internet. Each time you use your card the amount is totaled and Salem Christian School receives a percentage of sales.

Ukrops Golden Receipts-Ukrops supports education through Ukrops Golden Receipts. Register your Ukrops card through the Ukrops website and link Salem Christian School to your card. Ukrops will add up qualifying purchases and mail you a Golden Gift Receipt. Turn in this receipt to the office to allow us to receive up to 2% of your purchases.

Target-Target supports education through your Target Card. Simply pick up a Target card and register with Target through mail or through the Internet. Each time you use your card the amount is totaled and Salem Christian School receives a percentage of sales.

Kroger-Kroger supports education through Kroger Grocery Cards. Simply pick up a Kroger card and register with Kroger through mail or through the Internet. Each time you use your card the amount is totaled and Salem Christian School receives a percentage of sales.

Chick-Fil-A -Chick-Fil-A supports education through Spirit Night. Salem sponsors a "Chick-Fil-A night" the third Thursday of every month at Short Pump Town Center from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Chick-Fil-A donates a percentage of all sales for that evening.

Ink Cartridges-Salem Christian collects used ink cartridges from most printers to be recycled. SCS receives cash for each cartridge. You can help by turning your ink cartridge into the collection box.

Spaghetti Dinner-Each January, Salem Christian School holds a Spaghetti Dinner. These dinners are a great time of fellowship, food, and fun. You can help with this dinner as one of the servants or as one of the guest. Feel free to bring guests with you.

Auction Gala-Salem Christian School will be holding it's Annual Gala and Benefit Auction in March. You can help with this fundraiser in a number of ways. You can provide seed money to help with the cost and purchase auction items. You can donate items to auction off in the silent auction or live auction. You can sponsor a table. You can also purchase a ticket to attend the Gala for $50 per person.

Cell phones- Please place your old cell phones (no chargers or other accessories needed) in the collection box located near the school office. SCS receives cash for these phones.

Upromise - Upromise is a free service designed to help families save more money for college. Hundreds of companies your normally shop with (like Exxon) give a percentage of your purchases to your Upromise account. Over time this adds up to a lot of money for your child's education. Through the Upromise school program, you can also help raise money for SCS. To join Upromise, click here and enroll. Please be sure to link your account with our school (zip code 23039).
