Admissions

Salem Christian School began operation in 1996 as a preschool and kindergarten and has added a grade each year since then. The school now employs more than 20 staff members and has grown to over 115 students - God has truly blessed our school in unbelievable ways.

The school is coordinated by an administrator under the guidance of an administrative board. The school assistant principal, under the direction of the administrator, provides oversight of the daily activities of our students, parents and staff.

The teachers and assistant teachers are selected on the basis of their educational background, christian character, love for children and ability to work effectively with people. Teachers are state certified or working toward state certification and each staff member has a health form and a criminal record check on file.

Salem Christian school is dedicated to providing the best education possible for students. Two basic curricula are used in the preschool and elementary school. Students in the 3 and 4 year old preschool use the WEE and Abeka programs. Students in the K-5 use mostly Abeka, while our middle and high school students use books from other publishers, including Christian Schools International and Bob Jones. The WEE program is provided through the Southern Baptist. All of these programs are excellent as academic and biblical teaching tools.

Salem Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

SCS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and athletic and other school-administrated programs.
